There may not have been a press release on quantitative easing but it is going on. QE3 is just one type of easing. The ECB has its LTRO program. The Fed has roll-overs in its existing portfolio. The BOJ is getting into the act and the BOE has a big bond portfolio. The trend line still shows the balance sheets of central banks growing.
